Jared's First Day

Jared Yar arrived to his post early in order to set up his console the way he like it. Generally the computer had a set screen from which cadets trained but once established staff would modify their own settings.

Looking about the bridge he knew no one personally but that was all right as they were not necessicary. Ma'am or Sir or even Ensign and Lieutenant was complimentary  during most duty days.

At Ops board Jared had the power of the whole ship at his fingers which gave him a feeling of great responsibility for him

Engineering need a test run, science need more power for a test. Sickbay was installing a new Doppler scanner all of which he would aide this shift.

During lunch in the mess hall simple warm rations were available. Tweeking a synthesiser availed for hot chocolate to be hotter and for rum.cake to taste like rum cake all to make an young female Ensign smile. After all he had to make friends.

After lunch more of the same and then some as a Commander arrived and then an Admiral. The Churchill had to launch and be ready and Jared Yar planned to make that happen.
